McLEDs - McDonald's new LED signage

Posted: 2013/08/25

McDonald's across China have installed new signage using cool-white LEDs as part of their new campaign accompanying a smartphone app launch.

McDonald's China has recently placed new signage using LEDs.

The new signs have not-so-golden cool-white LED arches with the Chinese characters 夜亮了 (Ye Liang Le) written below. 夜亮了 loosely translates to "light up the night."

A close-up shows that LED modules with 4 LEDs per module are connected together to create the "M."

These new signs seem to be a part of the 夜亮了 campaign where McDonald's patrons can download a game app on their smartphone, where winners can get free McDonald's food.
